Baby Nicholas was recently christened at the Pantanassa Greek Orthodox Church in Johannesburg. As with most Greek Orthodox churchs, they are astoundingly beautiful and ornate. So, as always, I take a few images to show you what I mean 🙂 It was sunny and very warm Saturday morning, and as I arrived the first thing I noticed, was the dome of the church set in between giant carob trees. But onto the boy of the moment, as it were! So this gorgeous baby boy, was full of smiles and a picture of total calm and inquisitiveness throughout his christening. He didn’t moan, whine or cry. At all. Not even being dunked in cold water fazed him in the least – he just continued watching what was going on around him. (and those of you who know, will know that a greek christening is very involved and steeped in age old customs and traditions). The christening reception was held at the Bryanston Country Club, where mom had put together the decor in shades of blue and yellow. We sneaked away for a few minutes to get some family group pics of this special day, with close family members, and just in time too, as by them, darling Nicholas was getting tired. Ric and Costa, thank you so much for the opportunity to capture the special moments and memories that made up Nicholas’ special day! Enjoy your preview
is this not the cutest cake, ever!?!?!!?
