Roots Restaurant and Forum Homini Hotel in the Cradle of Mankind, was the location for this beautiful 30th birthday bash! Forum Homini is stunning and has a feel of being totally away from the craziness of Gauteng (which in some ways it is, but only just ;-)), the architecture is beyond stunning – lots of rock, concrete, glass, wood (natural materials and textures)… it has a felling of being way out in the bushveld, especially at this time of year with the dry long grasses and colours. A real treat for the senses! And that is where, recently, on a very warm winter afternoon, loving friends and family gathered to celebrate Angi’s big “three-oh” (30th). Whilst Atomic Orchid were finalising the decor inside, I captured the details of this beautiful place and the guests. Angi, our guest of honour was dressed in a stunning dress, with her hair tied in a classic bun, looking, well, ever so classical – I loved the contrast of her style against this rugged, modern African setting! The decor – which was kept simple and understated – was made to “pop” as it were, with flowers in shades of pinks and beautiful suspended arrangements, with cascading tendrils!!! Lunch was a sumptious affair, as can be expected from Roots Restaurant… And then it was time to cut the elegant birthday cake by LunaBerry. This was nothing short of a stunning event in every way, hence this is a rather looooong post, since there is sooo much prettiness and so many great moments to share… I left there with a happy heart, my senses filled to the brim! Thank you again, Angi, for choosing me to capture the moments that made up your special birthday! Enjoy the post!!! x
Attention to detail…

Two of my favorite moments – above Angi framed by the greenery, so fitting with her dress and look, and below, a moment with granny.
there’s a bit of a story here and those balloons 😉

And then we did a quick mini mini shoot with Angi and her hubby – aren’t they just awesome?
