Sergio and Cinzia tied the knot recently at Da Vincenzo in Kyalami. Wedding days are special by virtue of being a celebration between two people/ families and various friends, but they also entail a buzz of activity, lots of laughter, tears, some stressful moments, and of course the making of many many memories. And that, is exactly how their day went…. starting out early at Thatch and Thorn, then moving to Da Vincenzo for the ceremony and reception. If you haven’t seen part I on their wedding, click HERE. And the story continues… Cinzia and Sergio chose to cut their beautiful wedding cake (surrounded by the sweetest pastel shade cupcakes with silver initials), after the ceremony, so guests could enjoy them, whilst we did family, bridal party and eventually couple photos. I felt so grateful that the rain held off, and we could at least get the necessary done without having to deal with rain and the chaos that can bring. We hopped into a car to a nearby open stretch and quickly got to work, ending with some wonderful sunset light, just as we were wrapping up *happy dance*
The celebration continued, with lots of great speeches and stories – which evoked tears and much laughter. The first dance was simply beautiful… these two swayed and swirled, often times looking as if it was just them in the room = perfect (I won’t lie that the photo opportunities during this first dance were numerous 😉 and I’ve posted a number of those here. And seemingly dancing is a thing with these two and their families and friends, as the father and daughter dance was equally stunning, followed by Sergio dancing with his mom… Cinzia joined in with her mom, and then the party started… This is pretty much how a wedding goes, yes… but what makes each one special and or unique in its own way, is the special energy the couple brings to their day, their interactions with family and friends, the things that remain memorable… And it’s on days’ like these that I am reminded of what an honour it is to capture the moments and amazing memories, that will allow the couple and others to enjoy the day all over again. Sergio and Cinzia, I wish you both many years of love, joy, and laughter. Thank you for the opportunity and enjoy part II.
Sergio doing a little boogie (or something along those lines 😉 ) which had Cinzia in stitches
Cinzia however managed a real reaction 😉
