I totally loved the time I spent there, walking from stall to stall, chatting to people and suppliers, and enjoying the wonderful tunes playing at that time, by the super talented Awesome Foursome String Band (some of the guys from Runaway Cult Train). And, yeah I spent too much moola, c’est la vie, right? and only left when I did, because I had a commitment that afternoon. Guys, this market runs seasonally, so there are only a few opportunities (at the moment) to go enjoy it, so take some time out and head on over – you won’t regret it.
Re-Trend captivated me for a while. Mostly because it’s all about retro decor (mid century style/design), and the fact that they set up this amazing “store space” in a park, and managed to give it an authentic “store” look and feel, that just worked. Of course all the quirky things were awesome too…. the Frieda cushion, the textures, patterns and colours – I totally loved it!
and then I was “pulled” towards the Bobby – Yarn stall by the vibey Antoinette (the face behind the brand/ product) and the pretty pretty bags. Loads of colors and patterns, and truly great story of a start-up business – way to go lady!
the pear trees were loaded and just looked so in place adding to the market, farm, village, kinda vibe!
these guys (Awesome Foursome) kept me captivated for a loooong while – their brand of music is just fantastic, and the choice of tunes they played at that time just hit the spot!
yummy vegan food choices by Keenwa – I’m not vegan but their food choices were incredibly appealing and tasty
yummy fudges, brownies, rice krispie thingies and more by The Counter – these guys specialize in really different, fun and yummy goodies – go check them out
Glare Modern Vintage was just another of those stalls that attracts – the fabrics and designs are just so pretty!
I can’t recall the name of this stall, but it sells clothing and accessories and the stall owner (above and below) was one of the most colorful characters I came across that day. He jokes, and chats to people in a way that you can help but notice him/ the stall #feelgood
another stall that I can’t recall the name of, but easy enough to find – they supply the prettiest floral raincoats… I mean, really!!! Oh and floral brollies – such fun, no?!
wooden crafted pendants and pins – the detail is astounding, they are just tooo pretty
cork yoga products by Earth Warrior
I can’t for the life of me recall this stall either or the lovely lady’s name (apologies). silly considering I spent a fair amount of time and money there, on two stunning t-shirts (the green patterned one above and another). she does a huge variety of really fun and quirky t-shirts – worth stopping by!
UPDATE: thank you for contacting me Lise – her business is known as L2 LYON
The Frozen Foundry stall was amazing. I walked past at least 3 different times, and there were always people around. They’re obviously on to a good thing, and their display too pretty! Way to go guys!!!
Tea Cakes – another fun, fun, fun concept – they make top quality, authentic mini versions of madeleins and other tea cakes – decandent!
