If you’re here, then you’re evidently planning your wedding.  Congratulations!! It’s a really special time in your life, as an individual and as a couple.   Capturing the moments and memories that make up that day are by far the most critical aspect of a wedding.   You will both be tied up with many things on the day, and will not be able to take in all the moments and details – that’s what we are there for.    And, once the cake is eaten, the flowers have wilted, the guests moved on, etc. all you will have left, are the memories – hopefully – beautifully captured, to tell the story of your day!!!

It’s important therefore that you select someone who understands your vision for your wedding day.  Someone whose style will enhance and add value to the moments, captured forever.   And that is exactly why I love weddings – to be able to capture all the little details, the actions and reactions, the emotions, the laughter, the love…. what an absolute honour, to be part of such a joyful day!!!!

I only shoot a limited number of weddings per year, so it’s ideal to chat about your day sooner than later to assess if we are a good fit for each other.

Weddings start from R8,500 for 6 hours.

As we are all different, with different needs, so instead of a “one size fits all offering” I enable you to customise a package that meets your exact requirements.   You have a choice of hours only and numerous add on’s, such as :

  • digital images (DVD only)
  • extra DVD’s
  • as well as a pre-wedding couple session
  • photobooks/ albums
  • prints and enlargements
  • canvases
  • a fun photobooth
  • boudoir session
  • trash the dress/ day after session
  • invites or save the date cards
  • guest book
  • thank you cards or tags

Please contact me via the Contact Page, with as much information as possible, and I’ll send you a quote and package information.

Look forward to hearing from you!!!

In the meantime here are some  Frequently Asked Questions

What would you call your photographic style?        I am a contemporary wedding photographer who enjoys photographing in an essentially photojournalistic way  i.e. capturing the moments, and the events that make up your special day, but I also enjoy romantic, timeless, natural and fun images, with the odd traditional shot thrown in for good measure.    My primary objective is to capture real moments, real emotions, feelings and interactions that depict you and your day.   Secondly, I aim to take and provide you with images that you will enjoy for many years to come.

Where can we see samples of your work?   Evidently here on our website and blog- We also have a wedding gallery HERE   And you can also view recent work on our Facebook page

Where are you based?    I am based in Johannesburg (near Woodmead), but will gladly travel to your location both locally and internationally.

Do you keep our date open?   Unfortunately not…. the only way to reserve your date is complete the wedding agreement and pay a 50% booking fee to secure your date/time slot.  I generally grant prospective clients a 72 hour time frame to come back to me to confirm their date.  I only shoot a limited number of weddings per year, so it’s ideal to chat about your day sooner than later to assess if we are a good fit for each other.

Will you be the photographer on the day?  Yes absolutely – if you book me, you get me :-)

Do you charge for travel?  Well for local weddings mileage of up to 100kms is part of the package, anything extra is an additional charge.  Also if it’s a destination wedding, travel is paid for by client, including any accommodation and other transport requirements.

Do  we need to furnish you with accommodation?  With destination weddings, yes.   Weddings that are over well over 100kms away may require overnight accommodation, but chat to me for clarity if uncertain.

Do we need to feed you?    Yes please, that would be nice!!  And please make allowance for a few refreshments (water and soft drinks) as well.

Do we need to sit you at a table?  Not necessarily, depends on your table arrangements – as long as there is somewhere to sit for a meal.

What is your dress code?   I am always dressed neatly in a smart casual style.

Do you help us with posing/ what to do/ where to stand?  Yes, I guide you regarding how/ where to stand etc.  other times I just leave well alone and photograph the natural moments and interactions.  To this end I highly recommend the pre-wedding session as this enables you to get a feel for being in front of the camera and acquainted with the various “poses” etc.etc.  which makes things so much easier on the day…   Remember I bring my equipment and expertise, you bring your personality/ ies…

Do you work from a shot list on the day?  No – a shot list is limiting and stops me from focusing on the special moments …. However I do like to know about any special moments/events taking place during the day, as well as any people that are important to capture during the day….  The only list that is required is the family/ group shot list, which ideally needs to be co-ordinated by a family member or family friend (as I won’t know who’s who…and it saves time.

What if it rains?   As long as there’s no lightening/ thunder and it’s not storming heavily, we can work with umbrellas for a period of time.  J   Otherwise we work indoors where suitable….   If your wedding is scheduled during the rainy season, it’s always best to determine a few spots that are workable should we have no option but to work under cover.

When do we schedule the Pre-wedding session?  It varies from person to person – some people like to use images from this session for their invites, so scheduling this needs to be a good few months before the wedding.  For other’s 4-6 weeks before the wedding date is adequate….   Sessions are scheduled where I have gaps, should we not have weekend options available, pre-wedding sessions will take place during the week.

Do you do table shots?  Table shots tend to be very messy (bottles, glasses, food etc.)   It is therefore preferable to do candid photographs of guests, or alternatively to do a photobooth during your reception.   Also bear in mind that we do family groups and other nominated groups shots after the ceremony (time allowing).

Do you stay overtime?   Yes provided that additional per hour fee is agreed to ….

Do you digitally manipulate your images?  Yes a lot of time and effort goes into selecting and editting each image.   You will receive a selection of Black and white images as well, but no Raw or unedited images will be handed over.

How long does it take to get our images?   Generally 4 – 6 weeks (unless otherwise stipulated), whilst photobooks take another 6-8 weeks.

Do you deliver our Cd/ Photobook?  No, the end product can be collected from my studio/ office in Woodmead or these can be posted (via overnight Speed Service – track & trace or smilar) or couriered to you – costs for your own account.

When can we meet?   I’m open for meetings during the week or weekends provided I am not otherwise booked.   I am also available certain evenings during the week.

We want you to photograph our wedding, what’s next?     Well I like to meet my prospective clients as soon as possible, get a feel for who you are,  also I like to understand your ideas, visions and expectations for your big day.  We can also chat through timing, the contract and address any other questions you may have.  Thereafter we finalise the booking and firm up your date.
